He has Empire Earth, Civilizations, etc. He can’t play Internet games like World of Warcraft because he doesn’t always have internet access.

He also really likes cryptography type games like the free ones featured on google.com from Da Vinci Code. We played MISSING from the Adventure Company and that was fun. He did not like Nibiru or many of the other Adventure games though since they were too linear and the puzzles were lame.

Any suggestions?

What is happening to people in the world? People are so interested in getting discounts, getting things for the cheapest price possible. I understand saving money is important, but make sure your pennies are not effecting something bigger down stream, like shopping at Wal-Mart putting small businesses out of business and ruining local economies.

Now it seems every day people are asking, “Where can I get this for free?” “Where can I download this for free?”. In the past couple of days I’ve seen requests for free movies, free video games, free books, people soliciting for free copies of “The Davici Code”, and boot-leg copies of the movie. People asking for money, and I-pods.

Is there a giant flaw in how people view economics? Has greed and total lack of respect for other people’s efforts begun ruling our lives? Does the convience of the internet break down our ethical boundaries so we now see how there is nothing wrong with theft?
Please feel free to respond with flippant remarks, thanking me for the two points, or that I’m an idiot for not wanting things for free. It will only prove my point.

I strictly use MFC if I can, VC6 only. I HATE console apps/code with a passion. They are utterly useless. I am so sick of all these tutorials that just ‘paste a pic’ on a white ‘Edit Box’ but don’t tell you a thing about HOW in the world it got there! PLEASE for all that is decent and holy in the gaming world, please, please help me without mentionint the following words:

cout, cin, console, Linux, Unix, Mac, iMac, IPOD, VB6, .NET, VC7, vc8, Borland, Builder, CDocument, ‘make it a memer of the %^&#$ class’ and so on. I just want to know how do I put an image at the location of X, Y, and how do I CHANGE X and Y. I’d like to be abl to have 2 versions of this code, one where I am able to set the movement myself, and another where I can ‘click and drag’ the graphic (such as a chess piece or checker?) JPGs have great color as GIFs seem splochy, but only GIFs/PNGs have transparency, although I’ve heard rumours of transparent JPeGs! A versitle code that can use all 3 would be nice.
