do you think it takes away the fun of a game when someone uses gameshark or any other game cheat method?

Do you think it takes away the challenge of the games if someone uses these cheat sources instead of just beating the game clean?

Yes, I always beat the game first. Then, if I really feel the need I use cheats to have some fun but only after I have beaten by myself first.

Cheating when you first start the game defeats the purpose to even buying it.

Yes it changes the game. Some games are more fun with cheats.

I hate restarting levels – especially on games that have save points that are far apart – like Crash Bandicoot.

I tend to play the game once through clean and then another time with cheats, etc. What I’ve found is that yes, is does take the fun away from the gameplay as a general note, HOWEVER, it DOES allow you to access some features of the game that you might not otherwise be able to, awesome gamer or not. For that aspect, it’s worth it to have a gameshark or otherwise. I try not to play the game through with the shark, because it isn’t as fulfilling or satisfying, but when it comes to games that I just want to explore completely or if I’m REALLY stuck, or even if my younger cousins want to play, I think it is an advantage in those in similar situations. It’s an gaming-age-old-question… to cheat, or not to cheat?

I believe that cheats can do both ruin the game and add enjoyment to the game. What if someone is playing a game that they find extremely difficult and they cannot beat. They look up some cheats and they finally beat it. That makes them very happy. On the other hand, cheats makes video games not challenging at all. But I don’t have a problem with it. If you beat a game without any cheats, you might want to see what the game would be like while using cheats.

I think that it does take away the fun and challenge of the game. I personally only use cheats when i am reall stuck on a game and where i find it impossible to complete. However not all cheats tke away the fun of the game in fact some of them make it funner, they can get you funny guns cars and make peoples head big LOL!

using cheats just make the game pointless, you should only use cheats if you’ve completed the game and just what to play about, or if your really stuck.

Its okay to use gamesharks etc but the user is only cheating themselves if they haven’t played the game through the end w/o cheats first.

I think cheats do take the fun away from your games.

Me and two of my friends all have Animal Crossing Wild World for the Nintendo DS , my friends both have action replay , a massive cheat game. I borrowed it once and completed my game with it , but it did take away the fun so I started a new game.

It all depends on how the person’s background is. If the person is a game savvy and just has to beat the game as fast as possible then i guess the the gameshark etc. is good. But that isn’t how i play i beat the game fully and sometimes don’t even use the gameshark. Overall, use of the gameshark is both good and bad.

If you are REALLY stuck on a game it is not enjoyable anyway, so cheats can enable you to carry on playing, but I don’t see the point in using them straight away, where is the challenge?
