Is there a first person shooter game for a computer that is easy to play ?

I want an easy shooting game for my computer that I can play for short periods of time; like no brainer target practice where you don’t get killed constantly. Or maybe a harder game but with cheat codes that make it easy. I want to relax when I play, rather than be in a frenzy.

Do you have any cheats for GTA: San Adreas?
I’ve been to several code web sites and tried what they are saying, but most of the codes don’t really work. I was wondering if anyone knew some cool cheats or so hidden things in the game.
I get a stange error after installing The Da Vinci Code for the PC?
I get an error saying

I am looking for a good PC game for my husband. He likes strategy games and also puzzle games.?
He has Empire Earth, Civilizations, etc. He can’t play Internet games like World of Warcraft because he doesn’t always have internet access.
He also really likes cryptography type games like the free ones featured on google.com from Da Vinci Code. We played MISSING from the Adventure Company and that was fun. He did not like Nibiru or many of the other Adventure games though since they were too linear and the puzzles were lame.
Any suggestions?
